nikita lelu (b. 1985, Perth, Australia) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working on Gadigal land in Eora/Sydney. Drawing on queer theory, intimate rituals, gender, and the body, her sculptural ceramic work explores our aversion to difference. Capturing bodily figures in private moments of transmutation, the boundaries of human and other blur, and with it, our empathy.
