My work follows the ideas that are created along with the notion of the “Male Gaze” and situates those not meeting the criteria of a cisgender male within the societal construct. The work uses the perspective of a Queer woman to open up a conversation about the ideas of objectification when it comes to sexual preference and identity. Its intention is to comfort but also displace the common notions surrounding sexual perspectives of women and objectification.
