The National Art School acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, the traditional owners on whose lands, water and skies we meet and share.

@olivialindgaaaard

Olivia Lindgaard’s practice focuses on the relationships between natural forms, the landscape, manufactured structures and the architectural: specifically, how they coexist in the world. Her main material choices are metal, wood, and synthetics, sourced from found objects. Lindgaard creates sculptures that stand alone; that can also expand into immersive installation-based and site-based work. Her practice responds to our current context of the Anthropocene, the pressing climate crisis, our dynamic with the spaces we inhabit, and how human consumption influences our relationship with the world. She aims to create work that is subtle in its delivery, not solely tied to scientific objectivity and politics, doing so by creating a visual space to communicate these issues.
