The National Art School acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, the traditional owners on whose lands, water and skies we meet and share.

Isabelle Lee is a ceramic artist residing in Eora/Sydney. Her creative practice is centred around the medium of clay, and is communicated through installation in order to materialise ideas of intimacy, separation and protection.

These ideas are communicated subtly through line, texture, clay inlay and controlled glaze application. Through this observatory practice of intimacy, Isabelle aims to communicate dynamic relationships between personal and public worlds with a focus on forms such as gates, barricades, doors, tree barks and lichens. Similarities between each of these objects are found in their ability to both protect and seperate.

A soon to be graduate of the National Art School Sydney, Isabelle will continue her studies at The University of Sydney, with a Diploma of Art Curation. She aims to continue her practice as well as further her knowledge in installation from a curatorial point of view.
