Living and working on Wallumedegal land, in north-western Sydney, Libby Moore’s art practice predominantly involves print and paint. Concerned with the state of our planet, high levels of domestic violence in Australia and the cost-of-living crisis, her work also incorporates sculptural elements using repurposed substrates. Through these different disciplines, Libby’s art explores the themes of human connection, memory, loss and grief.
Libby always wanted to attend art school, so after completing a degree in languages, then becoming a graphic designer, and a mother to four children, she has finally fulfilled this longing. Whilst studying a Bachelor of Fine Art, majoring in print, at the National Art School, she held two solo exhibitions at Ditty Wheels and in 2024 has been a finalist in the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, Hornsby Art Prize and the inaugural Interior Art Prize, Weswal Gallery.
