The work I create through my multidisciplinary practice intends to act as a social spotlight on the figures and forms that inhabit a metropolitan city. Through the construction of contorted and mis-shapen forms, a search to encounter a raw and direct portrayal of the human condition is explored.

This unrestrained exploration of form intends to draw parallels between an individual's mental state and the environment in which they inhabit, analysing how one's environment and mental state can begin to manifest into physical features within the human form.

Through the extraction of facial features and the elongation of the human form, I attempt to channel the expressive properties that exist within the everyday, illuminating the beauty that can reside within the ordinary and crude, the ugly and uncanny.

The resulting forms, although at first glance may appear to be in a state of contorted agony and distress, propose a duality of elegance and beauty that emerges from the grotesque.
