Cooper Holland-Hughes is an Australian artist who works predominantly in the field of sculpture, with a focus on modelling and depiction of the bodily and human figure. He also explores expressions as well as different materiality through techniques of clay building, casting and implementing found objects through his work. His collection of works often starts as modelling clay figures which might later be transformed and manipulated through various means, such as imbuing them within found objects or casting them in unconventional materials, these methods act to distort and disfigure the forms in the work as a means to exaggerate and create conflict within the figure and the work itself.
