The focus of the series of work is curiosity for the mysticism of our natural world and fantasy defines her works. The aim to incorporate nature elements through her work to reflect an interconnectivity between the fantastical and the natural world. The works abstract natural elements such as trees, roots, and vines, infusing them with mysticism through colour, texture, and composition. Her pieces evoke a surreal atmosphere that transports the viewer beyond the familiar. The works aim to give the viewer a sense of ambiguity within the dreamlike compositions. Working with oil paints, Carroll’s work often uses recurring motifs such as circles, an acknowledgement of geometry and the universe's origins. Where the circle represents the essence of cosmic beginnings. Carroll's choice of vibrant, unconventional colours, such as purple and blue, intentionally diverges from the conventional green and brown, creating a mystical, otherworldly quality. These colours suggest something beyond reality and the mundane, inviting the viewer into a world of fantasy and imagination. Thus offering a distinct exploration of the ethereal qualities in her works.
