Ziggy Wood is a Sydney-based practising artist living and working on Gadigal land. Their practise spans across multiple disciplines and mediums with a technical focus in oil painting. Wood is interested in figurative painting and how it can articulate themes of intimacy, vulnerability, violence, the theatre of suffering and formal and informal power dynamics. They paint as a way of seeing, knowing and honouring the subject. Their practise an act of devotion to their perceived environment.
